Student Pharmacist Advocacy Initiative Series

Purpose: Provide students with the knowledge and tools to create meaningful conversations with legislators regarding pertinent state pharmacy legislation. The North Carolina Association of Pharmacists Student Pharmacist Forum (NCAP SPF), representing all four schools of pharmacy, has collaborated to afford all pharmacy students the opportunity to become confident student advocates. Students will earn a “Advocacy Certificate” upon fulfilling requirements of the initiative and participating in a live meeting(s) with a state legislator. To register, please complete this form or scan the QR code in the flyer.

Certificate Requirements: Earning the Advocacy Certificate is best accomplished by attending each of the virtual sessions 1 and 2 and 3 or 4 live on their respective dates, completion also requires a meeting with or a video addressing State Legislators. Students unable to join a live session can satisfy their certificate requirement by viewing the missed session once the recorded version is available. Recorded sessions require completion of both a short questionnaire and 150-word essay to earn a certificate.

The Advocacy Certificate is available to NCAP-SPF members only. If not a member, just Click Here to Join. Student memberships are only $10!

These sessions will be scheduled as the semester progresses. Check beck here frequently and keep an eye out for updates from your chapter leaders for dates!

Pages containing links to recorded sessions and any relevant handouts will be hosted here upon completion of each event.
